The Home of Hope
Malaysia is home to a community of diverse races, cultures and religions. Her people are a mix of Malays, Chinese, Indians and other minority ethnic groups, each characterised by their own customs and traditions. Islam is the country’s official religion but 40% of Malaysians profess and practice other faiths. The Home of Hope is Al-Khaadem's flagship project. Its goal is to provide a nurturing home for all Malaysians and create a society that exists in mutual harmony, guided by the belief that tolerance, mutual respect and acceptance of cultural diversity, be it racial or religious, promotes social cohesion and understanding.
Modern and well-equipped, the Home intends to set a benchmark for charitable homes and halfway houses in terms of its charter, objectives and services, namely by offering a second chance at self-development to its disadvantaged residents who will be chosen on a need-is-greatest basis.
The Home of Hope is more than just a temporary shelter. In the long-term, the Home of Hope intends to mould its residents into useful and skilled members of society by providing educational, training and re-skilling programmes so that they will be self-sufficient once they “graduate” and leave the Home of Hope.

Ramadhan Aid
Pertubuhan Al-Khaadem organises Ramadhan Aid yearly, distributing food, clothes, and other donations-in-kind to Malaysia’s poor, needy, disadvantaged and sight-impaired, as well as single mothers and reverts.
Humanitarian Aid
Pertubuhan Al-Khaadem aims to respond quickly to humanitarian disasters and conflicts around the world. We have changed the lives of thousands in nearly a quarter-century of international aid and charity work, worked alongside the people of Cambodia and Mongolia to raise funds to build houses of worship and helped marginalised Muslims in Sri Lanka rebuild their lives after the devastating tsunami of 2004.
Sungai Gabai Home
We don't stop at just providing emergency and relief care. Our mandate is to look at a holistic and integrated approach to the development of the community. Our home in Sungai Gabai empowers children, who do not otherwise excel in school, to realise their potential in academic and Islamic studies, while building their capacity to prepare and respond to an increasingly challenging world and serve the community in which they live in future.
