Read stories of people entering Islam and how Al-Khaadem was involved:
“I became Christian from a young age after attending Sunday school
and going to church with my parents. Becoming a Muslim was the last
thing in the world that I thought or planned to do, but by the grace
of Allah and pre-ordained destiny, I have been led down this path. I
think many people have the wrong perception about Islam and Muslims
based on twisted media from the West as well as the general perception
of the average Muslim on the street, especially in Malaysia. Even if the
followers of Islam have fallen short, Islam is indeed the religion Allah
has perfected for us.
My journey to reversion was by no means a walk in the park and
I took the time to learn more about Islam through attending Sunday
classes at Al-Khaadem for 2-3 years before I made my decision. I had
to convince myself that I’m not doing it for the sake of my husband (then
husband-to-be, who incidentally is also a revert like me). Al-Khaadem
was a place that a non-revert like me, could feel comfortable in as it
comprised multi-racial and multi-nationals (and encompassed all ages)
plus there was never any pressure and people were warm and friendly.
I was also attracted to the Islamic teachings in Al-Khaadem as they
were based on the Quran and Sunnah, as opposed to what some other
Muslim friends may tell me based on their upbringing and traditional
values without any real basis! Not-yet-reverts should take the time to
learn with an open mind before they judge or decide and do it for all the
right reasons (that being Allah is One and Muhammad is His Messenger).
Good things in life are never easy, but my new extended family in Al-
Khaadem has certainly made it easier. Try it yourself and feel the spirit of
Islam! Just go step by step, no pressure.

“In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful I’ve
always believed that God is One. Hence, I had difficulties convincing
others that Jesus was God when I was a Catholic. It wasn’t until I
really studied the Bible did I discover that Jesus was actually a noble
Messenger of God and he was in fact a Muslim. My daily life has
been meaningful ever since my return to Islam. My journey to Islam is
analogous to going to a shopping mall with my parents when I was a
little boy and realizing that I had been holding on to a stranger’s hand
as opposed to my father’s. After a long panicked search, I finally found
my parents and returned to their safety. My feelings roller-coastered
from being innocent to panicking and finally to being relieved. All
praises be to Allah. I am home. May Allah guide us all to the right path. Amin.”
